World Refugee Day 2020

In honor of World Refugee Day and the thousands of refugees living in New England today, IINE will host a live, online version of SUITCASE STORIES featuring refugee and advocate voices on Saturday, June 20 at 8:00 pm EDT

Traditionally, IINE would host a number of in-person events to honor this important occasion, but currently, gathering in person isn’t possible. However, we feel strongly about gathering together virtually to recognize the challenges millions of refugees continue to endure, as well as their contributions globally, and our support of human rights everywhere.

This is a ticketed event, and the format of the evening will include the live premiere of a video, plus live discussion and Q&A opportunities.

Join us for:

  • Three Suitcase Stories performed by local refugees from the Myanmar, Rwanda and Syria
  • A live conversation with those providing critical services to refugees, moderated by Suitcase Stories Director, Cheryl Hamilton
  • Relevant facts and information related to the local and global refugee crisis
  • Q & A from the audience via chat
